Celebrate Your Child's Birthday with Furry Scaly Friends

Events - Furry Scaly Friends is available for events 7 days a week, every month of the year! Events typically occur between the hours of 10am - 8pm, but depending on the day, we are flexible. We have had events as early as 9am and as late as 9pm!

2. Fill out and submit your information on our contact us now page or give us a call.  

3. You will receive an email response within 1-2 business days with a price quote and some basic information about the package.

5. Time slots are not guaranteed until we receive your confirmation. Confirm via email or by calling us. 

6. We will send you a confirmation email and add your event to our calendar. If the time slot is no longer available, we can look at other dates. We will reach out a day before the event as well to let you know our arrival time which is typically 15 minutes prior to our start time. 

Our crew choices consists of ferrets, long haired guinea pigs, short haired guinea pigs, sugar gliders, rabbits, hedgehogs, chinchilla, prairie dogs, dwarf hamsters, long haired hamster, gerbil, opossum, rats, sulcata tortoises, hermann’s tortoise, side neck turtle, young ackie monitor, large red footed tortoise, young green iguana, blue tongue skink, gargoyle gecko, hermit crabs, bearded dragon, pink toe tarantula, madagascar tarantula, hissing madagascar cockroaches, cane toad, pac man frog, jumping spider, beta fish, axolotl, ball python’s (either leopard pastel or albino) adult corn snake, young corn snake, baby hognose snake, young milk snake, sand boa Our only extra add on is our mini pig. We cannot guarantee specific animals due to several factors that impact an animals’ ability to travel for programs (example a snake in full shed)

Upon receiving the confirmation email from us, we will include payment options. They include Venmo, Check, Paypal, or CashApp. All credit cards are accepted. Full payment is due the day of the event. Birthday parties require 1/2 deposit at time of booking. Paying ahead in full is optional. We will message 1 - 2 business days before the event to confirm the final details. 

We are pros at setting up indoors or in a covered space outside if temperature allows and can make almost any space work! We need a heated space if temps are below 55 degrees and indoor AC if above 80 degrees. Some of our animals are cold blooded and other's can't sweat. Our packages can work for either indoor space or outside space. We do need a shaded space (always) and cover in case of rain. If an indoor or covered space is not available we may need to reschedule. If no rain is scheduled and weather permits we are happy to host outside, a shady tree works just fine for some shade for our furry and scaly friends.  Certain animals may not be available in certain temperatures if a heated/air conditioned space is not available (chinchillas, guinea pigs, and ferrets for example cannot tolerate heat above 80 or reptiles cannot tolerate cold weather). 

Size requirements: 5ft X 5ft area for our birthday packages, but we can accommodate a variety of areas -Just ask! We can set up in a living room, garage or covered patio area or under tents in your yard (if temps allow). 

We want to keep our payment policy flexible in case of changes, but last minute cancellations/rescheduling's do impact small businesses. We are more then happy to accommodate and change a date (example, if a birthday child is sick the day of) Please keep this in mind.  Please know that if you cancel we do not give refunds. We can reschedule at any 'new date'. 

Yes we are! We are also certified in Pet CPR & First Aid. 

We will arrive approximately 20 minutes before the start-time. We require a parking place/ area to unload as close as possible to the set-up location - please keep in mind that we are carrying animals, playpens, and supplies for the furry and scaly friends. We recommend that we start about 15-30 minutes after your party starts in order to accommodate guests who arrive late.  

All programs / events have a round trip travel fee of $1 per mile. We have additional activities and programs that are optional such as our mini pig or owl pellet programs. 

We travel state wide. If your bordering Connecticut please reach out as we may be able to accommodate your event!

We usually recommend scheduling your event at least 2-3 months ahead of time. However, if there’s a date you know you want, the best thing to do is to book!  Sometimes we do have openings on short notice as well. 

Many of our animals, ranging from guinea pigs to our hedgehog, are rescued! Some of our animals, like our prairie dogs were purchased from a reputable breeder. And many others have been 'pets' in our family for quite a while. We love animals! Did you know not all our animals come to our programs? We also foster many and work with local rescues.
